TJ and I had our first ever "surprise party" this past weekend. We had planned that the Walkers would come down to the lake on Saturday to hang out and let the boys play....about 30 minutes after they arrived, the Tates, the Carpris, the Hasenfuss', all of TJ's family, all of my family etc...started showing up. We were like "what in the world?"....and Susan tells us, "Surprise! this is a Going Away party for you guys!" It was so exciting to have everyone surprise us like that. We have such wonderful friends and family. Unfortunately we have pretty rotten rainy weather, but the rain quit long enough for us to get a group photo of all who came. Thanks again guys....you don't know how much you mean to us!
here's "the gang".....the Tates, the Carpri's, the Hasenfuss', us, and the Walkers....
This was the first time in a long time that everyone could make it with kids in tow! So we wrangled everyone up with kids for a quick photo (as you can tell Parker was less than thrilled about the picture)....We currently have 7 kids between us all and the Walkers are due in 4 weeks, so that will bring the total to 8! Be fruitful and MULTIPLY! Ha!

Parker's First Haircut
Parker's first haircut came at 21 months old...finally. Technically, there wasn't a ton of hair to cut, but we just had it "straightened" out a little. We took her to "Sweet and Sassy"....and it was the perfect place to have it done...so girly, she loved it! She wasn't too crazy about sitting in the chair all by herself, but was content to sit in my lap and let Camille cut her hair. Afterwards, they put this purple glitter star on her face and she thought she was beautiful! She kept trying to look at it on her face (note picture of her TJ). She also got a lollipop and picked out a stuffed animal at their store afterwards....all in all, a successful and pleasant first haircut experience.

Mothers Day 2009
I had a wonderful Mothers Day...My kids gave me a gift card for a "day at the spa"....and let me just tell you how excited I am about that!! But the best gift of all was just getting to spend time with TJ and my three wonderful kids!! They seem to amaze me daily with things they say and do. God has blessed our family in more ways than I can mention in one paragraph. I want to always give him the glory in all our accomplishments, especially our healthy, happy children. I once heard someone say.....to a mom of "preschoolers" the days are LONG, but the years are FAST!! how true is that???? There's no way you can be a 'PERFECT" mom, but there are a million ways you can be a GOOD one! I promise to always be the best I can! Thank you guys for making my Mothers Day so special! I Love You!
Look Grandad, a Snake....
Trey, very nonchalantly, said, "hey look grandad, there's a snake".....Of course, we thought....Nah, its not a snake, its probably just a stick or something. Well, sure enough....it was a snake. A harmless water snake....but still!! It was pretty big and if I had been the one to see it first, you can believe I would have been high steppin, saying a few choice words outta there!! Dad 'disposed' of it properly.....waaaaaay away from their front yard. Trey is definitely ALL boy....and with us splitting time living at the lake over the next month, there's no telling what else he will "happen" to see or "dig up" in the front yard....

T-R-O-U-B-L-E
Now that I'm significantly outnumbered during the day, its almost impossible to be watching everybody ALL the time...Well, I took my eyes off of Parker for 5 minutes and this is where I find her....on the very top of the moving boxes! She's definitely my "climber"....Other places I've found her are: Standing on top of my kitchen table "swinging" the chandelier....standing on the top of her changing table....standing on top of the footboard of my bed....and those are just to name a few.
Caught in the Act....
Before church the other morning, Parker and Jack disappeared into her room to play. Well, they got way too quiet, so I snuck in their to check what was going on...apparently, Parker had broken the handle to her bookshelf and her and Jack both were trying to fix it before I noticed....it was too cute...
