Jack's First Haircut

In the car...on the way to get a haircut

Well, I have been putting this day off for quite a while now. I don' t know, there's just something about taking my youngest to get his first haircut...it just made me sad to think about. I guess I thought the longer I put it off, the longer he stayed a baby....because after that first haircut they just seem somehow "bigger and older"....I couldn't put it off any longer, his hair was quicly forming a "baby mullet" and so I made the call. Of course, he did great...he quietly sat there and looked at his book. It was over in about 5 minutes...and now I have a "big boy"....
Whew, a haircut will sure wear you out!

Makeup 101

and it begins....she has recently gotten interested in my makeup drawer. I think I'm going to have to put a deadbolt on it, because she feels like she can play in it whenever she wants. Here is the result of me doing laundry and Parker slipping in my bathroom to test out the masacara. To her credit, she did get it in the correct "area" of the face....oh, child!

Auburn/Ole Miss Game

We woke up the morning of the Ole Miss game...and decided, "hey, lets take the whole family"...at first, I thought we were crazy to take all 3 kids to an SEC game, in the drizzling weather....but one of the perks of living in Auburn is that we can leave the game whenever we want and be home within 10 minutes! We just decided that if they got to be too much of a handle we would just pack up and come home. They did GREAT at the game! Parker wanted to sit by herself on the row in front of us...which was fine..and even Jack was content to sit in mine or TJ's lap the majority of the time. However, he did throw his full/heavy sippy cup about 3 times and everytime hit the man 2 rows in front of us square in the back, ouch! Trey is all about football right now, loves to see them get tackled...and has tons of questions about every play!

The many game day faces of Trey.....

A little Dino Train for the Brothers

I try to sneak and get my camera whenever I see a "sweet moment" around the house. When I came around the corner and saw Trey and Jack sitting together watching DinoTrain, I thought it definitely qualified as a "sweet moment"...
Oooo....busted

Ready for Halloween

The kids are ready for school the week of Halloween. Parker loved wearing the dress that Aunt Aly gave her because it had "candy corn" on it, which is one of her favorite Halloween treats.
Here's Trey on his last day of "sports camp" at the Opelika Sports Academy. His teacher let them wear Halloween costumes if they wanted....so of course Trey wore his clonetrooper outfit...and even wore the mask for the majority of the hour....

See....He CAN smile!

These are some of my FAVORITE pictures of Jack! How stinkin cute are these? It was raining this morning so everyone got to wear their rain jackets to take Trey to school....Jack LOVED his!

And the solemn face comes back! He smiles all the time at home, but as soon as the camara comes out this is usually the face I get. So glad I caught him smiling for a change!

Random Pictures of Kids

Notice, she refused to let go of the Wendy's sack for the picture....she has quickly learned that any food left unattended may not be there when she gets back (Jack the "hamburglar" will strike)
Or in this case the chicken nugettlar....or chicken thief is just easier to say...(notice in his hand)
I am surprised we have any flowers left in the bed on the side entrance to the house. Everytime we go in the house they insist on "plucking" a few petals off. Jack decided to try how they tasted this particular morning....from the look on his face, I think its safe to say he didn't like it!

The Pumpkin Patch

In years past, we have taken the kids to the Grand Ole Pumpkin patch in Clanton. (where they have helicopter rides, bouncy houses, petting zoos, etc...)...but due to time constraints and being farther away now, we decided to just go to a local pumpkin patch. And literally it was just that, a patch of pumpkins, most of which you had to actually cut off the vine. Anyway, we pulled up and Trey said, "this is it?". He quickly came around when he saw the hay bales they had stacked for the kids to climb and play on. Of course Parker and Jack thought it was the best thing ever to be set "free" outside to run and play. We came away with 5 pumpkins, yes 5! Trey said each member of the family had to have one. Off to carve pumpkins!

The Lee County Fair

TJ and I took the kids out to the Lee County Fair a couple of week ago. The kids eyes were as big as quarters when they saw all the lights, the rides, the LARGE stuffed animals, the cotton candy, etc... I could go on and on. Anyway, as soon as we bought the tickets to ride things (which cost eleventy billion dollars)...the bottom fell out and it started pouring rain....it rained really hard for about 15 minutes and then just drizzled...but of course the SHOW went on....there's no stopping the carnival! the kids now soaking wet enjoyed riding the rides (which we deemed "safe")....and topped it off with a big bag of cotton candy for the ride home...

Grandparents Day

Grandaddy came to "represent" at the Grandparents Breakfast this morning at school. Gran was out of town and Granna and Doc had to work...The kids really enjoyed showing Grandaddy their classrooms and their artwork on the walls, and letting him meet their teachers. Thanks for driving in so early in the morning Grandaddy...We love You! We love ALL our WONDERFUL grandparents! Happy Grandparents Day!

Oh, How we Love Dora....

Let us count the ways we love Dora....Parker is her biggest fan. Whenever she hears her theme music come on she rushes over to the TV and sits directly in front of it and she's "spellbound" for 30 minutes. I don't know what it is? No other show holds her attention like Dora. Trey claims that its a "baby show" and doesn't like it...but as you can tell from these pictures he's right in on the action....I am not sure Jack understands Dora but he just likes being where the other 2 are...so he sat down too...

Birthday Boy ready for School

This is Trey headed for school Tuesday, his birthday. He wore the Star Wars shirt that Granna and Doc gave him on Sunday. He also took cupcakes to his classmates and they celebrated his birthday at school too....He came to the car that afternoon wearing the crown in the picture below....he thought it was pretty special having all his school friends sing happy birthday to him....

Trey looked out the window and saw a lady walking up the sidewalk carrying this big basket of candy with balloons attached...and let me tell you , he got soo excited! He said, "that must be fore me!" Ha! Well, yes, it was for him...Granna and Doc had him a birthday basket delivered with a bunch of goodies! Thanks Granna and Doc....

Happy Birthday Trey

Wow, where did the last 5 years go...yes I said 5! Trey turned five years old on September 29th....He chose a Star Wars themed Birthday Party....and wow, do we have the Star Wars stuff now...he loves it! Five just seems like such a milestone to me...so much stuff happens at five...especially starting kindergarten next year, I don't even like to think about it, it gets me a little teary eyed. Trey is so fun to be around, its like talking to an adult. He will say the most random things all the time..it cracks us all up! I love you Trey...so glad you had a fun birthday!
