Trip to the Zoo
We've been so "housebound" the last couple of weeks, with me getting everything cleaned out for the yard sale, we needed to get out of the house.....so, we woke up this morning and decided to go have a fun day at the zoo. The kids loved everything from the reptiles, to the monkeys, to the camels....of course, Jack slept pretty much the whole time, but woke up in time to see the goats. (which he about jumped out of our hands trying to get ahold of one). We rode the train (above picture) and Trey and I rode the camel together....all Trey had to say was, "that was a bumpy ride". Of course the day ended with the kids running through the water fountains in the childrens zoo.....We all had a great time, what a great idea!
Jack 8 months old...
Just thought I would do a quick "Jack Update". He is 8 months old now and is into everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! He started crawling over the last month and now there is no stopping him. He is also pulling up, which is so cute to see just his head peeping out over his bedrail! (like, hey where's everybody at???) He also has gotten both of his upper front teeth in....and they came in about an inch apart, which is hilarious to see when he smiles! Sweet Baby Jack!

"Change is Coming...."
Yes, there will be a lot of change in the Fuqua home over the next couple of months. For those of you who don't already know, TJ will be finishing up his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the end of June. We have bought a practice in the Opelika/Auburn area, right across the street from East Alabama Medical Center. TJ will own the practice and work taking call, etc.. for the hospital too. In the meantime, our house here in Bham has sold!!! Hallelujah! We are set to close on May 15th, but are unable to close on our Auburn house til the end of June.....which means we will be "homeless" for about 6 weeks, Ha! Luckily, we have plenty of family in Bham that has agreed to take us in.
So, yes.....there will be a lot of change for us....but we are so excited about starting this next phase of our lives. And what better place to do it than the "loveliest village on the plains".....

If this doesn't make you laugh......
Trey had Jack laughing so hard, I had to run grab the camera and catch it on film. As most of you parents know, usually by the time you grab the camera they are through doing the "cute little thing" they were doing....but the odds were in my favor this time. Trey was dancing to the Madagascar movie credits and Jack thought he was HILARIOUS!

Family Easter Celebrations....
Above is at the Fuqua Family Easter party. There were a ton of grandkids and now great-grandkids to find the eggs. The kids had a blast...Trey loves playing with "big Tyler" and Nolan and especially loved the John Deer tractor. Every egg Parker picked up she had to shake andmake sure there was something inside....She didn't want a "dud", Ha!
We also got to hunt eggs and Gran and Grandaddy's on Saturday! We hid 125 eggs around the lake, Whew! I "think" we found them all.......
Easter Egg Hunt
It's days like today that remind me why I love being a "stay at home" mom. I was able to help "chaperone" Trey's egg hunt/Mcdonalds trip. He acted so excited to have me there, to show me "his friends" and "his school"....seeing him so excited about everything (especially the candy part) was so fun for me! I thank God every day that I have the opportunity to stay at home with my kids....they are only little for so long, then its like you blink and they are "big boys and girls" and everything is "its ok mommy, I can do it by myself!".....

I couldn't help myself.......
O.K., I'm really NOT that mom that has to dress their kids alike every Sunday.....However, I just couldn't resist when I saw these two shirts at Old Navy. I'm sure when the boys get older I will not be able to get away with this, but since they could care less what I put on them now I am taking advantage.
Then I realized that Parker was somewhat "color coordinated" too, so I had to get a pic of all three.
I'm not really sure what was so funny.........

The Career Begins.....
Trey had his first t-ball game Saturday morning and he did great! He went 3-3 and actually stayed attentive in the field and caught some ground balls. Of course telling him he could go to the concession stand after the game was a powerful motivator! And life at the ball park begins..................

Off to school....
The kids were ready for school and all decked out in their Auburn wind-suits...it was a rainy day outside, and since we don't have 'rainjackets" this was the next logical step. I just loved the way Parker was looking at Trey in the first picture...believe me, she is his biggest fan! I just love the way everyone gets along right now, but I am sure that won't always be the case....the years ahead will surely bring lots of "sibling squabbles".....
I know it's not football season, but...
Yes, I know its not football season....but my Mom and Dad brought Parker home this jersey from Philadephia and I just had to let her wear it. You see, its IMPOSSIBLE to find something with Parker's name on it that's pink or girly...considering that Parker is generally a boys name and all. They were in Philly and saw this Steelers jersey with Parker on the back and just had to buy it for her. And let me tell you something, she thought she was 'hot stuff' when I put it on her. She was hilarious.....so I let her wear it to school...and that's that.

Spring Break Beach Trip
TJ got some time out of the hospital....so we jumped in the car and headed to the beach..imagine that! Ha! We had beautiful weather and the kids really enjoyed playing on the beach and in the indoor pool. Trey is swimming so good and Ms. Parker is a little daredevil...She thinks she can do anything that
Trey can do. Jack seemed to enjoy the beach too, he didn't try to eat the sand but enjoyed running his fingers through it, but generally kept his "laid back" attitude. We can't wait to go back!
