The Easter bunny came!!!!!

The kids were so excited to wake up Easter morning and see what the Easter bunny brought....Of course, Trey had a zillion questions about how the Easter bunny gets in the house, will we hear him? , where does he live, etc....but once he saw the goodies all that didn't matter...it was a race to see who could open their candy the fastest....
Jack's ultra serious face.........
Comparing baskets....pulling "tradesies"......

Easter Weekend

We took the kids on Saturday to the city of Auburns big Easter Egg Hunt out at Kiesel Park...This was a HUGE egg hunt, they even had it divided out among age groups, etc...they had music, free cokes, the Easter bunny , balloons, food...it was a lot of fun!

Yes, Parker and Jack insisted on wearing their easter buckets on their heads....kinda hard to find eggs that way!

Easter Egg Hunts at School

It was a marathon of Easter Egg Hunts/parties at the kids Preschool on Thursday....it started out with Jack's class at 9:45..which was not so much a "hunt" as it was a "which kid can grab the most eggs strown about the grass the fastest"...they weren't exactly "hidden", but for "one year olds" it was just as exciting! Then I was off the Parkers class party/egg hunt at 10:30 (which was directly across the hallway). As always, Parker was rather shy about the egg hunting process....but once she figured out there was candy inside then all bets were off....Then I ran downstairs to Treys hunt at 11:30, whew! Trey's class actually had to look for their eggs out on the playground, but once they got to 12 eggs they had to stop looking....which actually turned out to be more of a counting lesson than anything else...those teachers sure are sneaky, slipping in learning while having fun! All the kids had a blast at their Easter festivities...an its only Thursday...we still have the weekend left!

Let me Explain....

First of all, let me say that Jack is not too fond of his "naptime" these days....As soon as I start heading up the stairs with him in my arms he starts squirming...by the time we get to his door he's all but screaming...I read him a story ( he's not really listening considering that he's crying...simply a formality, ha!) I lay him in his bed and tell him "night-night"...he immediately stands up and starts bouncing/screaming....Anyway, he usually only cries for about 5 minues and then passes out cold for a nap. When I went back up to get him after naptime yesterday....I discovered that in his tantrum he turned all the letters around backward above his bed....as if to "show me" for putting him up there by himself.....Whew, he's not so "laid-back" Jack anymore....

Au Baseball game

During Spring Break week, The Walkers (minus Neil) came down to hang out with us. We took Trey, Tyler and Parker to Auburns Baseball Game...It was Youth night and all kids who wore their hat and glove got in free. The boys were so wound up they wouldn't stay in there seats.......until Susan told them that the "police" would come and get them if they didn't stay in their seats and watch the game...ha! As you can see, it worked! Then Aubie came by to visit and all bets were off...He came and sat down right beside them and they got so excited. They were pulling his tail and giving him high fives, how fun!

More Dress up Time

How funny is this picture? I actually have one from the front, but didn't think I should post that one...Parker loves to be both naked and "dressed up"...thought she did a good job combining the two.
Then she decided to add more garments....Oh, are we getting geared up for Disney??? We are aiming to go this fall....YaY!
Jack's not to subtle hint that he's ready for a vacation.....

Birthday Fun continues....

The next weekend TJ was on call so the kids and I headed to Bham to celebrate his Granny's birthday. Jack and Parker chased her dog Hudson around the entire time we were there...and Trey, as usual, was enthralled with Doc's I'phone....he loves discovering all the new gadgets and games. Here's how Trey's conversation goes when we get to Doc/Granna's.....Hey Doc, Hey Granna...Doc where's your I-phone??.....literally the first thing he says. Happy Birthday Granny, we love you very much!

Oh Yeah, I forgot

O.K., so a couple of posts back...I was talking about the snow and mentioned the kids in the bubble bath. So I completely forgot to go back and post the pics of the "famous" bubble bath TJ made the kids. Our way of "coercing" the kids back inside from playing in the snow was to tell them they could have a bubble bath. TJ started the tub while I took wet snow clothes and put them in the dryer...Within minutes I hear TJ yell "Hey hon, you gotta bring the camera!"...When I got to the bathroom this is what I found. Not sure why we haven't figured this one before now, but apparently you can't put Bubble bath in the water and then turn the jets on...because this is what happens! Bubbles everywhere!!!! Of course the kids thought it was great...they keep asking Daddy to do their bubble baths every night, ha! In case you can't recognize...the above picture is Parker (the snot coming out of her nose is lovely isn't it?)
Trey having some bubble fun....
Sweet Jack wondering what in the heck is going on......we had to keep an eye on him, he would just disappear in the bubbles.
This picture of Parker says it all. Snow day + Bubbles= very very fun!
