One of the local orthodontists threw a big Auburn Tailgate party and invited the dental offices and staffs. I met TJ over there with the kids decked out in the Auburn Gear. They had a big bouncy house for the kids, Nova, one of the Auburn Eagles was there...The kids couldn't quit staring at her, they were a little intimidated by the "big bird"...and they had even rolled one of their trees to look like Toomers Corner....it was really neat!

One Last Hoorah.....And many Adventures too!
I decided kinda last minute ( like 2 weeks ago) that I wanted to take the kids to the beach one last time before the weather got too cold to swim...We found a place and headed south! It was fun to watch Jack walking around on the beach, he loved it! I am glad to see that my children have the same love for the beach as I do....I will ALWAYS have someone to go with me, Ha! Trey said he wanted to go "surfing" so I went out and bought a cheap body board....which he thought was a real surfboard and LOVED it! I helped him get on it and he would ride it all the way to shore...I enjoy seeing him try new things. As I was helping him get on the board for about the tenth time, I look over and about had a HEARTATTACK! I see about 10 feet from us a FIN sticking out of the water, yes a FIN....now let me remind you that I am in water no deeper than my thighs...I grab Trey and go sprinting out of the water Baywatch style...(sorry for the visual, ha!)...Indeed people walking on the beach had seen the shark too...It turns out there were TWO of them. An older couple informed us that they were nurse sharks and wouldn't harm us....WHATEVER, a shark is a shark and I don't want me or my kids swimming next to it! Anyway, that was a first for me to see a shark in person at the beach...and swimming that close to us, scary! But Trey had a great story to tell when he got back to preschool the next week!
Me and my boys....waiting for the Auburn game to get out of Rain delay....
Fun on the beach...please note the top right picture...Parker and Jack fighting over the sand bucket...
The kids loved going to the Hangout...a new restaraunt in Gulf Shores...Mainly they liked it for the HUGE sand pile they got to play in outside of it...even baby Jack attempted to climb it. and Yes, that's Parker looking at the sailboat ..Naked....long story, but I thought it was a good picture.

Auburn vs Mississippi State
We had the Martins and the Hasenfusses, Hasenfii, well lets just say Molly and Brandon (ha!) down for the Mississippi State game! It was fun getting to spend time with friends and catching up! War Eagle!
A haircut, some Ice Cream, and playing in front of Samford Hall
Another thing I love about living in Auburn is all the "spontaneous" fun we can have on campus...I took Trey to get his haircut, TJ met us downtown when it was over, We walked a block down to the ColdStone Creamery for some ice cream and then let the kids run and play on the lawn in front of Samford Hall. They had a great time! And of course so did the mosquitos who feasted on all of us, ouch!
Isn't she Lovely???
One of the many outfits Aunt Aly gave Parker for her Birthday...she looooves wearing new clothes...lord help us!

Warrrr Eagle Hey!
Football season is already upon us! The Walker family came down for the weekend to hang out and go to the game. Since we had 2 extra tickets on our row of seats we took Trey and Tyler to the game with us (we get a sitter for Parker and Jack)...Here are some picture sof the kids from the weekend. Getting all 5 kids to sit still and actually look at the camera was quite a challenge! they had a blast!
Here we are heading to the game... About 5 steps from the car Trey decided he was "too tired to walk" so then he got a ride on his daddy's shoulders. We took him over to the "bouncy houses" for some fun and to burn some energy off before having to sit still on the bleachers for a couple of hours....
"My buddy and Meeeeeee"....I just loved this picture of the boys. They had so much fun together at the game and they were so GOOD! Please notice Tylers arm around Treys neck while they are watching the game together, how cute! Lots of memories in the weeks and years to come...WAR EAGLE!

Happy 2nd Birthday Parker
Our sweet princess has turned 2! We celebrated Parkers 2nd birthday in Bham with friends and family....as you may can tell, we did a "princess" theme, and Parker was very into it. She enjoyed "helping" me make her cake and cupcakes and by helping I mean she ate any leftover icing..Ha!
She also enjoyed running wild at the party with the other kids and definitely liked opening her presents. She wanted to play with each present as soon as she opened it. It was fun for all of us to get to catch up with all of our friends and famly. Happy Birthday Sweet Parker! You are growing up so fast!
I loved the look on her face in this picture. Its like, "mom, seriously do we have to take any more pictures?", "don't you have enough already?"....

First Day of Pre-School
The kids started "preschool/MDO" this morning, and nobody cried, not even me. Trey will be going to 4K four days a week and Parker and Jack will be going on Monday and Wednesdays only. They were all soooo excited to go this morning. Trey kept asking "is it time to go yet?" and Parker insisted on being buckled in her carseat while still wearing her backpack (which was impossible).
Jack got to try out his new "big boy" carseat for the first time this morning. He LOVED it....he could see outside better and he literally "smiled' the entire ride to school. A big week for us this past week! Parker got her big girl bed in...and she is doing WONDERFULLY in it. She even looked at TJ when he tucked her in the other night and said,"daddy, I wike my bed"....Another big thing this week is that all bottles have gone "bye bye"....We thought this was going to be a terrible experience for everyone involved, but the kids acted like it was no big deal....which shocked the crap out of us! Ha! So, the Fuqua house is now bottle free!

Jack's 1st Birthday
Can you tell he's a "momma's boy?" I love it!
He's the first of mine that would actually leave the birthday hat on...
We went with a Winnie the Pooh theme....and yes, I decided to tackle making both of his cakes and the cupcakes...I thought they all turned out pretty cute. I have to admit, I really like making cakes....maybe one day I'll get a little more complicated than cartoon characters, ha!
The picture in the middle of all the cousins trying to get Jack to eat his cake is pretty funny...

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Baby Jack!!
I had to go ahead and post these photos...because his "birthday morning" hair made me giggle when I saw these pictures. My sweet baby Jack is not much of a baby anymore...he's already a year old! Saturday was his birthday and we had family down to celebrate with a Winnie the Pooh theme (more pictures to come....) When he woke up that morning TJ and I went ahead and gave him his birthday present from us before Parker and Trey woke up and before all the company arrived. He was so cute, he got so excited and ran over to the "house" then stopped and looked at it, smiled and looked at us and smiled....as if to say, "thanks mom and dad, I love it!" I get very emotional if I let myself think too long on the fact that this is our "last first birthday"...Jack may have come a little earlier than we expected, but as always, Gods timing is PERFECT timing. He has been such a blessing for us and brings such joy to everyone. O.K., I've got to stop or I'll start crying.....again....

Yes, its time for a big girl bed....
Climbing out of her crib is just one of the many "antics" that Parker has been involved in lately. Just in the last week I found her standing on top of my kitchen island, (which she got to by way of the counterstools), I found her standing on top of our built in bookshelves in the den (which she got to by climbing on the back of the chair and then jumping over to the bookshelves), she ate an entire tube of toothpaste (travel-size), and last, but definitley not least.....she's been climbing out of her crib and running down the hall, then climbs in Jacks crib and wakes him up. Soooo, we put a child lock on the inside of her bedroom door hoping this would at least keep her contained and not waking the others up. However, it took her about 2 seconds to figure out the "child locks" and out she came again....Arggg! Well, we finally found a child lock that worked....and then I went the very next day and purchased a big girl bed that should be delivered next week. We figure getting out of a big girl bed should be "less" dangerous than climbing out of her crib. As long as she stays in her bed and doesn't disrupt Jack and Trey...Whew, she's not even 2 yet and already a big girl bed! I'll let ya'll know how it goes.....

Chewacla Sate Park
Mom and Dad came down to ride with me to look at big girl furniture for Parkers room (whole separate story that I will share in a later post). Anyway, after furniture shopping we rode out to Chewacla State Park to check things out. We hiked down the waterfall...and it was beautiful. Of course, it wasn't long before the kids started asking to get in the water, which we eventually gave in. However, it was mighty hard for the kids to hike back up to the car with wet crocs on, Whew!
Ready to try a new church...
We actually got ready for churh a few minutes early on Sunday, so I decided to snap a pic of the kids...We are in the process of finding a new church home, so we are "visiting" churches on Sundays...
Laughing in the rain...
well, I don't believe they ever "sang" in the rain, but there was a whole lot of "laughing" going on. It was pouring down at the lake while we were there last week....Dad took Jack on the porch and put his toes out in the rain, he thought it was hilarious, and so did Dad....
